What We do

Rescue

Rescue dogs that have been tortured or neglected and provide them with adequate care and medical help.

Treatment

Our team attends to on the spot treatment of the needy strays in and around our areas and that includes treatment of maggot infestation, chemo therapy, dressing of wounds, treating for dehydration and heat stroke.

Rehabilitation

Some treatment requires prolong treatment and requires constant monitoring. Due to paucity of space, we bring them to our own house based on the treatment type or send them to paid shelters. Some dogs due to their old age or disability are sometimes handed over to the shelter by giving surrender fees.

Release

Post treatment/sterilization, the strays are released in their respective locations by verifying their health conditions. We take care of their further treatment for a week so that chances of further cross infections do not happen.

Vaccination

Street dogs are susceptible to various contagious diseases like rabies, parvovirus, distemper etc. To save them from these deadly diseases, we do annual vaccination for the majority of the strays.

Feeding

Most of the strays survive from leftovers/scavenging from dustbins thrown by local food outlets or restaurants. In 2020, pandemic hit the nations and strays were in much distressful condition due to lock down all over. We took responsibilities of feeding 40 strays in our locality. We got help from local people too in this venture. We also on case to case basis extend our help to people with financial/non financial help for feeding.
